ADMISSIONS
A Simple Process. A Strong Start.
We’re here to guide you every step of the way.
Dozier’s Academy of Dyslexia is a small, structured academic program for students who struggle with reading, including dyslexia. Our admissions process is designed to ensure the best fit for each student and our program.
Student Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must have a primary diagnosis of dyslexia or demonstrate characteristics consistent with dyslexia. To maintain a structured and supportive learning environment, students must be able to participate in classroom instruction without significant behavioral challenges that would interfere with learning or student safety.
Required Enrollment Documents
To complete enrollment, the following documents must be submitted:
• Student Birth Certificate
• Mississippi Form 121 Immunization Record
• Proof of Residency
• Student Social Security Card or Number
• Most Recent Report Card (if applicable)
• Most Recent IEP, Evaluation Report, or Dyslexia Testing (if applicable)
• Withdrawal Form from Previous School (if applicable)
Tuition
Investing in your child’s future is one of the most meaningful decisions a family can make. Because of our specialized, small-group instructional model, tuition and payment plan details are shared directly with families during the admissions process.
State Funding Opportunities
Families may apply for available Mississippi education funding programs, including the Education Savings Account (ESA) program, if eligibility requirements are met. Acceptance into Dozier’s Academy of Dyslexia does not guarantee state funding approval, and families are responsible for completing the application process independently.
Required Fees During the Enrollment Process
A non-refundable $50 application fee is required when submitting an application to Dozier’s Academy of Dyslexia. Submission of an application and payment of the application fee does not guarantee acceptance into the program. Each application is carefully reviewed to determine whether the program is an appropriate fit for the student’s academic and educational needs.
After the application review process, families of accepted students will be notified. To receive an official acceptance letter and secure the student’s placement, a non-refundable $150 registration fee must be paid.
In addition, a non-refundable $200 curriculum and materials fee must be paid prior to the first day of school. This fee supports specialized instructional materials, classroom resources, and dyslexia-focused curriculum components used throughout the school year.
