Shannia Dozier

Head of School
LDT, SLT, EdS, CALT
Shannia Dozier serves as the Head of School Director and Academic Leader of Dozier’s Academy. With advanced training in dyslexia therapy and language development, she brings both expertise and passion to the classroom.

Mrs. Dozier holds:

• Master’s Degree in Dyslexia Therapy
• Certified Speech-Language Therapist (SLT)
• Licensed Dyslexia Therapist (LDT)
• Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT)
• Specialist Degree in Educational Administration & Leadership (EdS)

With years of experience supporting students with dyslexia, she is committed to delivering structured, evidence-based instruction that leads to measurable progress. Her leadership ensures that every student receives the individualized support they need to succeed.

Thomas Dozier

Founder & Co-Director

Mr. Dozier serves as Co-Director of Dozier’s Academy, bringing strong leadership, vision, and a heart for supporting both students and families. As a co-founder of the academy, he has played a key role in shaping the mission and purpose of the school.

He serves as a point of contact for families and, when needed, will personally connect with parents regarding behavior concerns. His approach is rooted in partnership—working alongside families to guide students with care, consistency, and understanding.

Mr. Dozier is passionate about building positive relationships with families and maintaining open, honest communication. He supports student growth through Godly guidance, helping to create a structured, respectful, and nurturing school environment.

At Dozier’s Academy, we believe in creating a positive, uplifting culture where children feel safe, loved, and encouraged. Mr. Dozier’s leadership helps ensure that every student is supported not only academically, but also personally, as they grow in confidence and character.

Current Open Positions

Certified Dyslexia Therapist (K–12)

We are seeking a qualified Dyslexia Therapist to provide structured literacy instruction to students with dyslexia.

Requirements:
• Certification in Dyslexia Therapy (CALT or equivalent preferred)
• Experience with Structured Literacy / Science of Reading
• Strong understanding of language-based learning differences
• Passion for working with students with dyslexia

 

Certified Math Teacher (K–12)

We are looking for a certified Math Teacher who can support students in a structured, small-group learning environment.

Requirements:
• Valid teaching certification (K–12 or relevant grade levels)
• Strong instructional skills in math foundations
• Ability to differentiate instruction
• Experience working with struggling learners preferred

 

Classroom Assistant

We are seeking a Classroom Assistant to support teachers and students throughout the school day.

Responsibilities:
• Assist with classroom instruction and activities
• Support small-group learning
• Help maintain a structured classroom environment
• Provide encouragement and guidance to students
